"Starke Profile ohne theatralisches Außersichsein hatten die hervorragenden Rollenträger Aaron Cawley, Jirí Sulženko oder auch Darcy Carroll. Allesamt stimmlich hervorragend"

Bernhard Uske - Frankfurter Rundschau

"A consistently impressive emerging baritone, Darcy Carroll gives another compelling acting and vocal performance, here sporting curled goat horns as the callous giant Polyphemus"

Simon Parris - Man in Chair

"Darcy (was) imposing in voice and presence - (his) physical comedy flair and astute vocal expressivity were invaluable"

Paul Selar - Australian Arts Review

"Darcy Carroll, a Melbourne Opera Young Artist, was very impressive in his Wagnerian debut as Donner, especially considering the richness of his voice while being in his late twenties."

Aidan McGartland - Fever Pitch Magazine
